Microwave Mug Cake

MicoraveMugCakeWe’ve all had a hankering for cake but just not enough time to actually make something so tasty and warm,  here’s a recipe to make quick and easy cake in a mug! You can even make different flavors… the possibilities are endless!

Chocolate Cake

  • 4 Tbsp. cake flour (if you don’t have cake flour, sift 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 2 Tbsp cornstarch)
  • 4 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp. milk (any kind)
  • 3 Tbsp. oil (any kind but peanut)
  • Splash of vanilla extract

Hot Cocoa Chocolate Cake

  • 9 Tbsp. hot chocolate powder mix
  • 4 Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp. oil

Lemon Cake

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 dash salt
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  1. Coat inside of mug with cooking spray
  2. Measure and pour dry ingredients in mug
  3. Add wet ingredients
  4. Stir mixture until the texture is consistent
  5. Microwave for 3 minutes (Microwave brownie for 60 seconds)
  6. Contents will be very hot, so use a potholder or towel to take the mug out of the microwave
  7. You can take the cake out of the mug to eat, or just eat it in the mug! (It also goes great with ice cream)

Isn’t it #Sweet to have a SPEEDY Chique in the kitchen?!

I’d say so!
