If any of ya’ll knew me when I was the Cupcake Chique, you know ya girl knows how to make some sweets. Thankfully, my boyfriend has a big sweet tooth, so I can always count on him to devour my kitchen creations. I highly recommend investing in a crockpot. These babies will do you right! I was fortunate enough to receive my pot as the gift from one of my previous jobs. This recipe is literally named “Heaven in a Crock Pot” and it sure lives up to its name 😋
The ingredients needed for this dessert are suppppperr simple! All you need is:
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- 1 box of brownie mix
- 1 bag of chocolate chip cookie mix
- ice cream (optional)
Like I said very simple ingredients! Also, kudos to me for getting all of the ingredients out of the picture 🎉 (I’m doing better) (Baby steps yall)… ANYWAY on to the directions!
First, spray your crock pot with cooking spray or use a liner. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix with 1/4 cup melted butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and a pinch of salt. In a separate large bowl, combine chocolate chip cookie mix with remaining 1/4 cup butter, 2 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and add a pinch of salt.
Here’s what my finished batters looked like. Drop alternating spoonfuls of brownie and cookie batter into the slow cooker until all batter has been used.
Cook until the mixture is set in the middle, either on high for 2 hours or on low for 5 hours. (Cooking longer at a lower temperature will result in a less gooey dessert.) I cooked mine for about 2 hours high and an hour and a half or so on low.
My finished product was amazing! Notes for next time: I’ll cook it for 5 hours on low probably. We were extra excited to chow down on this so I rushed and cooked it for longer,😬 I felt by doing that the cookie dough wasn’t cooked as well as I wanted it to be, but then again, that’s my personal preference. My boyfriend devoured it and had 0 complaints 👌very grateful I stumbled upon this recipe, in all honesty, I’m so shook by how easy it is to make! Next time I’m making this, I plan on adding more variations, maybe a different cookie flavor. The original recipe calls for chocolate chips, I omitted them due to the fact I forgot them at the grocery store, but next timeI’m for sure going to add them. Let me know if you guys try this recipe or any tweaks/ suggestions you have! Keep eatin good fam 🍽️
